On The Road Again – Willie Nelson Tribute is a professional six-piece touring production available for individual engagements, regional routing and multi-date touring across Canada and internationally.
The production combines Willie Nelson’s legendary catalogue, authentic vocals, signature guitar parts and solos performed live, experienced musicianship, storytelling and the high-energy Texas Outlaw atmosphere audiences associate with Willie’s live performances.
Two professional formats are available: the full six-piece On The Road Again production and The Willie Nelson Duo Experience, giving agents and presenters additional flexibility when developing markets, venues and routed engagements.

Two Professional Touring Formats
On The Road Again – Willie Nelson Tribute is available in two professional formats, allowing agents and presenters to match the production to different venues, markets and touring opportunities.
High-Energy Texas Outlaw Concert Experience
Both formats are built as full concert experiences, combining Willie Nelson’s legendary ballads with the upbeat Texas Outlaw songs and live arrangements that gave his performances their distinctive energy, personality and audience connection.
Both the full six-piece production and The Willie Nelson Duo Experience are built around the more upbeat, energetic live arrangements Willie Nelson performed on Austin City Limits. Dan performs Willie’s signature guitar parts and solos live, while Danielle adds live piano, keyboards and harmony vocals in the Duo presentation, with professionally produced supporting tracks completing the full-concert sound.
Songs such as Whiskey River, On The Road Again, Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys and Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die give both formats plenty of drive, audience participation and relaxed Texas Outlaw atmosphere. The Duo can also be presented acoustically for a quieter, more stripped-back presentation without drums or supporting tracks, while retaining the same songs, musicianship and character of the show.
Full Six-Piece Production
A complete Willie Nelson concert experience featuring Dan Thompson on lead vocals and Willie’s signature guitar parts and solos, with harmonica, pedal steel/dobro, keyboards, bass and drums. The full production is designed for theatres, performing arts centres, casinos, festivals and larger concert presentations.
The Willie Nelson Duo Experience
A professional two-person concert presentation featuring Dan Thompson on vocals and guitar with Danielle Thompson on live piano/keyboards and harmony vocals. Professionally produced supporting tracks complete the full-concert sound, and the Duo can also be presented acoustically when appropriate.
Whichever format is presented, the focus remains the same: authentic musicianship, recognizable songs, storytelling and the Texas Outlaw character of Willie Nelson’s live performances.
